“High Performance Electromechanical Transmission System”Innovation Research Team in University of Ministry of Education of Chinais approved the establishment by University of Ministry of Education of China in August 2007.According to the key discipline construction spirit of the Ministry of Education of China, Chongqing University "985 Project" innovation platform and "211 Project", the team break through traditional discipline and management system and establish the operation mechanism in favour of "innovation, open, cross, sharing" to meet the needs of the talent cultivation and modern science technology development of the nation and Chongqing as well as the western region. Through long-term cooperating and completing national, local government and the enterprises related research topic, the team naturally become an innovative research group mainly composed of middle-aged and young and having reasonable professional and age structure ,relatively concentrated research direction and common technology problem.
The team focuses on robots, advanced manufacturing, ships, aviation, aerospace and defense weapons and other important mechanical and electrical engineering equipment existing the common and key problems of science and technology, studying theories and methods of innovation design for high-performance mechanical and electrical drive system with the advantage of high precision, high reliability, long life, high torque, low energy consumption, small volume, lightweight, free maintenance and so on, researching and developing industrialization engineering technology of green and intelligent high-end equipment, revealing the key scientific problems of electromechanical transmission system dynamic served behavior in special and extreme conditions. Some major breakthroughs and innovations have been gained on integration synergy innovation research ofhigh performance electromechanical transmission system and equipment, achieving the commercialization, industrialization, internationalization, breaking the western developed industrial countries’ blockade and monopoly to China in related technology, which lay the key science and technology foundation for developing China’s high performance electrical and mechanical equipment with independent intellectual property rights and international advanced level, cultivating resources saving and environment friendly high-performance mechanical and electrical equipment industry and new economic growth point.
